Mini Perfume Workshop in EZE between Nice & Monaco

Ce fut une très belle découverte, j'ai beaucoup apprécié la conception du parfum. J'aimerai tant pouvoir faire un atelier comme celui-ci plus long et pouvoir ainsi en découvrir davantage sur la création d'un parfum.
Je recommande cette expérience.

I recently participated in the mini fragrance workshop and unfortunately, the overall experience was lacking.
The group immediately dove into creating a fragrance without proper explanation or knowledge, spending just 15 minutes on mixing the perfume components. It would have been more beneficial to receive a brief overview, perhaps using a fragrance wheel, to understand the concept better.

Moreover, the workshop could have been enhanced by focusing less on the cosmetic/soap production line and more on the essence of fragrance creation.
The guide's unclear explanations, coupled with difficulties in understanding her English, added to the frustration.
Additionally, the emphasis on unrelated elements and the guide's announcement of leaving the company diverted attention from the workshop's main purpose.

Although the fragrances produced were impressive, the workshop's overall quality did not justify its 29€ cost. I would recommend spending time conversing with shop floor assistants and investing the amount in a more fulfilling fragrance experience elsewhere.

Was expecting to actually create a unique perfume but instead we just were able to mix three already made notes together. The tour was fine and cool to see but the actual perfume creation was super disappointing. The whole factory smelled so strongly it was hard to even smell the perfumes shown by the guide. Huge emphasis on trying to have you buy more perfume at the end. This was fine, but was expecting more.

It would been nice if there could been more options in the perfume workshop so the guests can experience more smells and create different mixes.

Really appreciated learning and the history and science of perfume making. Had a wonderful tour of the factory and the highlight was creating our own perfume in the workshop. Our guide was very knowledgeable, answered questions readily and made the whole experience 5 stars! Thank you. Would highly recommend doing this with friends or family.

If you’re on the fence about whether or not to book this class, just do it!! It was such a fun, personalized experience that makes your trip even more memorable. This was by far a highlight of the entire trip and made Èze even more enjoyable!

When I arrived at the store for the mini workshop, I had thought that I was signed up for an English workshop. Instead, I was informed that I had been signed up for a French one. I was ok to just go with the French group as I was there for the experience but they were so thoughtful to find someone from the store (Anna) who was able to do a private tour/workshop in English just for myself! The customer service was impeccable!

This experience was fabulous! We had an amazing guide who made the tour and workshop personal and fun. Loved making my own perfume and now have it to wear whenever I want! Would recommend this experience to anyone!

Expericence was overall very nice! I will recommend it to my friends.

Avevo già visitato la fabbrica gratuitamente lo scorso anno e meno male. Questa visita invece e stata davvero troppo sbrigativa. Meglio il mini laboratorio.
A mio avviso c’erano troppe persone e non è stato possibile fare domande. Nel laboratorio di composizione troppo casino.
Non lo rifarei.

A fun, interesting workshop! Recommend.

My sister and I did the tour together and we absolutely loved it. It was so interactive and fun! We didn’t want to pay 200€ to make a perfume, so this gave us just the taste we needed.

It was a great family tour which helped to understand the history as well as recent progression of parfumeries. It was great to get some hands on and build our own parfums. Highly recommended.

Très jolie atelier.

Well run and interesting. Easy to book. Clear instructions provided and reminders. Very short but that suited me. The perfume making used quality materials. It limited us to the basics which I found interesting. My sister and I ended up with quite different scents despite using the same basic ingredients. The last time I did this (30 years ago in Grasse), it was overwhelming, trying to narrow down dozens of scents to something an inexperienced "nose" likes. The tour ended in the shop (of course) but the sales pitch was light and easy.

I found the commercialisation of the check-in off putting and if everyone is going to wait 15 minutes, could we have more seating please? I couldn't access the internet inside so we almost missed our bus to Nice as we couldn't check the schedule. Could it be posted?

The way this workshop was described on the website, I was looking forward to 45 min of learning about combining different smells and then (because this is the meaning of „personal“ perfume to me) actually choosing from different essences to create your smell. Instead for the bigger part of the workshop the huge group listened to the same speech about the factory like the one you get on the free tour. Afterwards, we had the choice of one smell (which I didn’t like) picked out for us and could only decide on the proportion of base, heart and top note. This then took me maybe 7 minutes to „create“ a 15ml eau de toilette (not perfume) which I will not want to use myself. In the end it was 15 more minutes just advertisement talk about the different skincare products… I really have to say I was very disappointed, because I was looking forward to something like this a lot, which was why I decided to try again at a different perfumery. I ended up paying not even twice the price (58€) for 100ml (!!) of eau de parfum at Galimard - with this workshop we had two hours to choose from over 100 essences and it was just a blissful experience!!

Activité intéressante avec la visite du l’usine et ludique avec la création d’un petit parfum néanmoins il est vraiment dommage que la seule visite en français sois le samedi (les autres jours l’activité est en anglais).

First time visiting Fragonard… I took my Husband & 15 year old daughter. The tour was very interesting & the workshop was also a fantastic experience. It was very detailed but easy to follow. We all made a really lovely scent. The tour guide was very pleasant & helpful.

The place itself Eze is also very pretty. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The Mini Perfume Workshop at Fragonard was a fantastic experience. The instructor was very friendly and taught us a lot about fragrances. I thoroughly enjoyed making perfume and would 100% go back again.

The location is very close to the town and the staff was super nice. The tour lasted about an hour and you learn a lot about perfume making. The lady who was our guide was very friendly and helpful.
10/10 would recommend it!!!

This was a great introduction to Fragonard and how to make perfume. Very fun to mix our own, and everyone in my family of four (2 adults and 2 children) came up with a different combination. It was the right amount of time for the workshop, as everyone was engaged the entire time. Definitely worth the price and time to do this!

Amazing experience in the perfume’s world, the guides were great and had a lot to share. The workshop was super interesting and fun!

Overall experience was awesome! Thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Fragonard’s history, their processes and especially the details of creating fragrances. And getting to create our own fragrance was fun. Highly recommend.

Great workshop under very dedicated leadership. We have learned and seen a lot. Nevertheless we had a lot of fun doing it. Highly recommended, good value for money. Nice and well-informed guide who was able to answer all questions perfectly in many languages. Nice, homemade farewell present.

My two teen daughters and I did the workshop and had a fun time creating our fragrance, although you aren’t really creating something original. You are sort of customizing an already-created scent. Still, we loved the woman who ran our tour and workshop and enjoyed the experience.

Siamo clienti fissi di Fragonard da più di 15 anni ( e anche questa volta abbiamo speso più di 300 euro e altri 180 mia sorella) . Siamo venuti a questo Mini workshop in famiglia con l’idea di condividere un momento piacevole di una sorta di viaggio attraverso i profumi. L’idea era certo buona e pure l’infrastruttura dell’ atelier in cui il corso si teneva sembrava presentarsi favoloso ma ahimè …..il tempo vissuto qui si rivelato tutt’altro che il piccolo sogno sperato. In realtà al termine del Mini workshop mi è sembrato di aver percorso un viaggio in tgv (e mi scuso con TGV per il paragone) attraverso il mondo degli odori. La guida era, a mio modesto parere, paragonabile ad un generale di tempi in cui il dispotismo la faceva da padrone e continuava a incalzare gli ospiti dicendogli di stare attenti . Non dava assolutamente spazio a quello che la creazione di un profumo, a mio modesto parere, dovrebbe fare vivere: passione, emozione, creatività e sogno. Tutto era impostato alla fretta di ritmi assurdi e mi dava tanto l’impressione di quei viaggi in cui in pochi giorni si vuole a tutti i costi visitare tutta l’Europa e si finisce col non aver gustato nulla
Finito alla velocità della luce di aver odorato varie fragranze creiamo sotto comando della versione Rottermeier di Heidi, il nostro Mini profumo, per arrivare al negozio ed è solo qui che capisco il perché di tanta fretta. La signora impersonificazione di un generale aveva così tanto nella testa la volontà di raggiungere i suoi probabilmente ambiziosi target di vendita che ha finito per spendere la maggior parte del tour a dedicarsi alla vendita anziché al workshop. ovviamente tutti gli ospiti acquistavano (incluso noi) perché i prodotti sono senz’altro ottimi, ma quel retrogusto di modi orrendi lasciato dalla visita, mi ha molto disturbata. Mi sento di consigliare alla signora guida venditrice di cambiare i suoi modi per non rovinare l’immagine di un brand prestigioso, evitare di commentare che i suoi colleghi francesi non sono presenti in fabbrica perché i francesi non sono grandi lavoratori … perché questi commenti non sono inclusivi e rispettosi verso nessuno (e io non sono francese). La sua corsa verso ogni cestino di prodotti acquistati da gente del suo gruppo per inserire il suo codice venditrice no 26 del sabato 12 agosto mattina era semplicemente imbarazzante .
Consiglio a Fragonard di dare alle guide uno stipendio fisso e di togliere qualsiasi commissione di vendita in modo da rendere un momento come quello di un mini workshop piacevole per tutti.

The guide lacked sence of humor.

Je souhaitais accompagner ma fille de 7 ans et j’ai été obligée de prendre deux fois l’activité pour un total de 58 euros. On nous a demandé par mail d’être ponctuelles et pourtant nous avons attendu 15 minutes debout ( un seul banc disponible dans la salle )qu’un groupe non payant finisse la visite pour commencer la nôtre….La guide était intéressante et compétente, l’activité sympathique .

This was such a fun tour! Our guide was very knowledgable and made the presentations interesting. We got to try & guess various scents and made our own perfume. Definitely worth an hour of your day!

We had booked the mini-workshop, and it was a nice visit with an informative tour and a workshop, where we made our own perfumes. Can definitely recommend.

My daughter attended mini workshop, she had hoped to create a perfume of her own scent combination as apposed to a set perfume, otherwise enjoyable experience, nice place to visit

Great experience. Wish they had provided water. It was a very hot day. I also wish we had the ability to make our own scent not a predesigned one. But still a good time. No discount for those of us who attended the class.

Had a great time at the workshop. The tour guide was great, and my group and I enjoyed learning about the unique parts of the Fragonard Perfumery, such as the use of Narcisse.

We had a lovely guide and she did a great job explaining the perfume making process and helping us make our own scent from the preselected notes.

Great experience; even my husband enjoyed, and it was a feminine fragrance we made. Our tour hostess was wonderful- interesting and informative. 45 minutes was the perfect amount of time.

I liked the explanation of how perfume is made. I did not like how limited the perfume making experience is, as there were only 3 ingredients to choose from. At the end of the experience, it was too much of a sales pitch.

Had a wonderful time at this experience and I would recommend it to anyone. The tour was very interesting, our guide was knowledgeable, and making the perfume was incredibly fun. Great value for money!

Super expérience, très instructive et amusante de voir comment avec les mêmes bases, on peut aboutir à des parfums si différents. Notre guide, Magdalena, a été tout simplement géniale ! Drôle et aimant manifestement donner le gout de la parfumerie aux visiteurs. Merci !

Making the perfume and learning a little perfume history was fun, but the tour was super short and not worth 30 euros. Way overpriced.

Such a fun experience! Our guide was wonderful and making the perfume was such a fun and creative activity. I would absolutely do this again.

I really enjoyed this little tour; indeed I wish it was a little more in-depth but it was still fun to do!
The guide – I'm sorry but I forget her name! – was a wealth of information, humorous, warm and accommodating.
One thing you could include are pens for each participant to write down their notes, thoughts and most importantly their secret "formula" for their personal fragrances. (The guide kindly loaned me her pen... But I still forgot my formula. It smelled nice though!)
Definitely something different and well worth doing.

Nous avons suivi le workshop sur la création d'un petit parfum à l'églantine. Kein, qui a encadré l'atelier, avait un bon contact, il nous a mis à l'aise et suivait notre rythme pour la fabrication du parfum. J'ai bien aimé que l'atelier soit suivi par la visite de la fabrique, c'était bien de voir où les produits sont créés. Ça aurait été intéressant également de voir les personnes travailler dans les locaux, faire les savons par exemple. Je regrette seulement de ne pas avoir pu participer à un atelier parfum un peu plus poussé avec plus de fragrances (que 3 proposées lors de l'atelier), mais je crois que ce n'était pas proposé à Eze. Je recommanderais l'atelier à des personnes avec un petit budget, qui veulent ramener un souvenir de la région. Pour un atelier parfum plus technique, mieux vaut choisir un autre atelier avec Fragonard. Kein parlait également bien anglais et j'étais contente de pouvoir suivre le workshop dans cette langue. Mon amie qui m'accompagnait, n'aurait pas pu suivre en français.

J'ai beaucoup aimé que le guide soit une personne compétente (un étudiant en école de parfumerie). C'était un peu court pour apprendre beaucoup de choses mais ca donne envie d'aller à Grasse pour un atelier plus long. En revanche j'ai trouvé dommage que ce guide si compétent doit obligé de se plier au rituel du boniment pour vendre des crèmes, comme si c'était une visite gratuite (où on comprend que ce soit le "prix à payer"). Mais cet atelier est payant (et même assez cher pour quelque chose de si court!)!
On était là pour en savoir plus sur les parfums et profiter des connaissances de notre guide. J'ai eu l'impression de perdre mon temps, mon argent et que les talents du guide n'étaient pas bien employés. De toute façon, on quitte rarement la boutique sans acheter quelque chose, alors inutile de vouloir à tout prix nous vendre des produits qui nous intéressent moyennement...

This was a wonderful family activity. My kids loved learning about how perfumes are made and especially enjoyed the hands on part of getting to mix their own scents. I would have liked for them to have the option to create a cologne for men and not just a fragrance for women, since I have boys. It would be a good idea for them to give the option of creating a male or female scent. However, it was a great activity overall

We would absolutely recommend this experience for anyone looking to learn more about the process. Getting to make an eau du toilette was so much fun and a highlight of our trip.
